Print Shop Associate (Lancaster)

Create computer generated artwork for various media while performing the following duties.


The successful candidate will: (3-5 Metrics)

·         Improve turn-around-time/production efficiency by 15% in first 30 days

·         Increase total productivity by an additional 25% in first 60 days

·         Successfully complete New Hire Mentoring Program in first 180 days


Key Relationships:


·         Work with Sales Team, Management, Marketing Manager and coworkers to implement department goals

·         Contribute and participate in the company Core Value initiative

·         Accept and complete ad hoc assignments on time


·         Develop new processes for improved efficiency to all departments and their relationship with accounts in the Trade

·         Maintain updated database of most recent vendor logos and advertising materials

·         Participate in company sponsored events and committees

Essential Functions/Skills/Duties:

·         Requires quick conceptual ability to interpret customer needs

·         Maintain proper supply of inventory for department needs

·         Determine style, technique, and best medium suited to produce desired outcomes and conform with reproduction requirements, receive specific instructions regarding these variables

·         Formulate concepts and render illustrations and details from templates, sketches, memory and foresight/imagination

·         Discuss POS at various stages of completion and make changes as appropriate

·         Select type, lettering, lay out of materials, and perform related duties as necessary

·         Generate graphic material and lettering to be used for title, background, screen advertising, commercial logo, and other visual layouts for signage promoting wholesale products

·         Adhere to supplier and company standards

Qualifications/Certifications/Licenses Required

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


·         Prior professional experience in processing high volume print materials.

·         Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

·         Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

·         Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

·         To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Design software including Photo-shop; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

·         Certificates, Licenses, Registrations- None

·         PC influenced system with some emphasis on Mac. Experience with Corel Draw.

·         Minimal travel may be required.
