Bass Ale
- History: In 1777, William Bass acquired his own brewery in Burton-on-Trent, England, and brewed his first pint of ale. In a country of near-black porters and stouts, Bass was the world's first "Pale Ale". Over the years, there were so many attempts to copy Bass and its famous red triangle logo, that in 1875 the Bass logo was established as England's first registered trademark.
